TTG’s 2 Primary Goals
-
1. To help the public adjust to the new reality
All of the approaches touted on this website are variations on one theme:
Our visual reality is suddenly and radically changing, and we must radically change along with it.
TTG’s primary function is to help the public sort through various sources of visual information (and visual disinformation) in this new era.
-
2. To preserve the cultural value of the undoctored record
Undoctored records of real-world scenes, events, and people — regardless of who created those records and how biased they might be — have played an important role in civilization for many centuries.
But now, for the first time in history, doctored records cannot be visually distinguished from undoctored records no matter how closely they are examined.
It would be a tragic cultural loss if undoctored records were not identified and protected for the benefit of future citizens and civilizations.
TTG makes it easy for image providers to establish a clear separation between “undoctored visual records” and all other kinds of images, now and in the future.
