More on FAQ #104

Why will TTG photography never be displaced by AI-fabricated imaging?Because in the #1 item of the Trust Test, TTG precludes any use of AIFI.

(TTG will always celebrate the essence of photography. Since the first principle of photography is “writing with light,” that is the first principle of TTG as well.)

What’s the difference between “photography” and “AI-fabricated imaging”?“Photography” involves creating an image with the recording of light (usually with a camera of some type).

Every TTG image must be created solely with the recording of light

“AI-fabricated imaging” is not made by recording light (there is no camera involved at all).

Any incorporation of even a single pixel of AIFI into a photograph disqualifies the resulting image from TTG.

So what’s going to happen in the future? The future of much image-making looks like a lot of AIFI.

Many kinds of non-TTG images that in the past were made using photographs now incorporate AIFI.

But the future of photography — assuming “photography” is defined as “writing with light” — looks a lot like TTG.
