“But I can see where the manipulation was made!”

	      Most people who watch objects being moved or removed in these kinds of videos know where to look for indications that those specific photos have been doctored.
To those viewers, under close inspection some of the changes are not completely “undetectable.”
But:
• The typical viewer who didn’t see the “Before” version of such photos would likely not notice these kinds of deletions — especially if the photographer later clones more “variety” into the doctored portions of the photographs, as is often done by advanced photographers.
• Viewers who say they can detect the changes are looking for them. The deletions probably would not be noticed by a viewer who gives the photograph the one or two seconds of attention that most photographs now are lucky to get.
• AI technology is still very young, and the undetectability of such manipulations will only become much better in the future. {It is already very difficult for most people to score more than 9 out of 10 on “Can you spot the doctored photo” quizzes, and missing even 10 percent of AI-doctored images would be a very large quantity when considered on a global scale.}
