Photographs that do not depict what they appear to depict can be eligible for the TTG label if they meet the first seven requirements and have an “IC” alert at a minimum (to meet P8).
There is one noteworthy exception to this eligibility:
As per the last paragraph of P8, a photograph in which “any non-TTG-qualified image that looks like a photograph” is a primary subject is never eligible for the TTG label, regardless of how it is presented and explained.
But every other subject can be explained well enough to meet P8 if was not recorded in an ineligible way and if it first meets the first seven requirements.
