panorama
On this website a “panorama” refers to the result of the “Panorama” setting on digital cameras and smartphones, which stitch together multiple exposures recorded while “sweeping” the camera across a scene.
“Panorama” photos as defined above are always disqualified by P3.
They are considered TTG-ineligible and cannot qualify for the TTG label under any circumstances (because the individual component exposures cannot be separated).
Single-shot panoramas
The usage described above reflects the now-common meaning of the term (thanks to a “Pano” button on hundreds of millions of smartphones).
However, old-fashioned “panoramic” photographs made using a single exposure of a wide-angle view — made without moving the camera at all and typically presented, often cropped, in a long length-to-height ratio — are eligible to qualify for the TTG label; see #1309.
