On this website, the term “presentation” refers to everything related to the photograph (other than the image area itself) that will be seen by viewers.

“Presentation” therefore includes

• how a photograph is captioned, described, explained, or labeled;

• how a printed photograph is reproduced, framed, and mounted; and

• any and all contexts and settings in which viewers will see the photograph, whether digital or printed.

Examples of “contexts and settings” are websites, exhibits, displays, photo contests, books, PowerPoint presentations, daily newspapers, general-interest magazines, special-interest magazines, advertisements, and informational brochures.

The “presentation” of a photograph can be the difference between the photograph qualifying as TTG and not qualifying as TTG.
