{Make this clearer and simpler and juxtapose with "posed" AT THE TOP; refer to #711}
{Fixed "Posed" page also}
No photograph of any three-dimensional scene is ever disqualified from TTG because of what was done to the subject (see #703).
However, a photograph of a non-obviously set-up or staged scene cannot meet P8 (and thus cannot qualify for the TTG label) unless an “IC,” and often more explanation, is included.
If it is instantly clear that the subject was posed, arranged, placed, or positioned for the camera — for example, as with a group photo — then no “IC” is needed.
The determining question is always, “Will the viewer instantly know about the arranged aspects of the photo?” If not, an “IC” at a minimum is required.
{For more, see the guide to “IC” alerts, the FAQ on subject manipulation, the FAQ on “IC” alerts, and the FAQ on P8.}
