When an image is inappropriately labeled TTG

The TTG-ready provider (TTG-RP) may publicly point out that the photographer is solely responsible for labeling a photograph as TTG even when pointing this out could permanently damage the photographer’s reputation.

The TTG-RP is free to do this at any time — including in the aftermath of situations in which it is discovered that the image was inappropriately labeled TTG by the photographer.

“Inappropriate labeling” involves not only factors that disqualify the photo from the first seven requirements but also failure to meet P8, including not attaching an “IC” alert when one is warranted.

Point #5 of the Submission expectations makes it clear that “ignorance is no excuse” for a photographer who inappropriately labels a photograph as TTG.
