How to label multiple TTG photos

. . . to avoid having to repeat “TTG” with each photo

  • Summary:

    Do whatever works.

    More

There is no one “right” or “official” way to handle labeling, because different contexts have different needs.

All that matters is that any viewer who sees the TTG label also sees:

    A) The name or UOI of the photographer who is staking their reputation on the Guarantee;

    and

    B) The “IC” and any additional explanation if the guaranteeing photographer has attached those things to the TTG label.

The items below are only suggestions. Image providers and photographers can handle the labeling any way they choose.

  • Scenario 1:
    • The photos are by multiple photographers
    • All of the photos are guaranteed TTG

[You can make one simple declaration:] “All photographs in this [setting] are guaranteed TTG by the respective photographers”

[. . . then identifying the photographer for each photograph]

What if there’s an “IC” alert?

    • If all of the photographs require an “IC” to meet P8, the “IC” can be attached to the one instance of the label (“TTG/IC”).

    • If only some (but not all) of the photographs require an “IC” to meet P8, those photographs can be noted individually following the one instance of the label.

  • Scenario 2:
    • The photos are by multiple photographers
    • Some of the photos are TTG; some are not

    ___________________

“The following photographs are guaranteed TTG by the respective photographers”

[then identifying the relevant photos and photographers]

The same applies with “IC” labeling:

“The following photographs are guaranteed to be TTG/IC by the respective photographers”

[then identifying the relevant photos and photographers]

  • Scenario 3:
    • All photos are by one photographer
    • All of the photos are guaranteed TTG

    ___________________

One instance of the TTG label can cover the whole group of photos.

“All of the photographs in this [setting] are guaranteed TTG by the photographer.”

What if there’s an “IC” alert?

    • If ALL of the photographs require an “IC” to meet P8, the “IC” can be attached to the one instance of the label (“These photographs are guaranteed TTG/IC”).

    • If only SOME (but not all) of the photographs require an “IC” to meet P8, those photographs can be listed individually following the one instance of the label.

  • Scenario 4:
    • All photos are by one photographer
    • Some of the photos TTG; some are not

    ___________________

“The following photographs are guaranteed TTG by [photographer’s name]”

    [then identifying each relevant photograph]

What if there’s an “IC” alert?

If some of the photographs require an “IC” to meet P8, the wording can say,

“The following photographs are guaranteed TTG/IC by [photographer’s name]”

    [then identifying each relevant photograph]
