Why does TTG rule out several popular manipulations?

Because with many manipulations, it is impossible to set limits that keep the manipulation from being carried to untrustworthy extremes.

• That lack of limits is fine for unlabeled photos.

• But if “extremely untrustworthy” photographs could qualify for the TTG label, then the TTG label would be worthless.
