Easy as A, B, C
Making
photos that qualify for the TTG label,
using any smartphone
-
A. Put the phone in “Photo” mode and avoid all special effects
• Turn off “Live” mode
• Avoid “Portrait” (bokeh) mode
• Avoid non-optical perspective correction
• Avoid added lighting effects
• Avoid “Pano” mode
• Avoid anything labeled “AI”
• Avoid anything that combines different people's expressions from different exposures
Why are these things off-limits?
-
B. Take a normal photo using the away-facing camera
Most cameras make TTG-eligible photos by default when set to “Auto.”
TTG disqualifies photos made with phones' self-facing camera because millions of smartphones instantly doctor photos taken with that camera.
-
C. Make no changes other than these 10
TTG's 10 Allowable Changes
(Any other changes — including AI — disqualify the result from TTG.)
